This is an article i wrote for the Youth Bulletin of CCC Olusesi Parish. All rights to this article exclusively belong to the Media Department of the Olusesi Youth Ministry. In this article, I briefly shared a little of my thoughts on love and relationships. I believe so much in love and i can boldly say love could either be beautiful or ugly, depending on the right or wrong positions taken.
We youths are
at a crucial stage of our lives: the stage of choosing the RIGHT partner, the
stage where you must not make pick wrongly. The society puts pressure on youths
for marriage, but forget to remember that a wrong marriage is the devil’s
greatest tool to ruin a great destiny. Ask Samson, ask Jehoshaphat who almost
got himself killed in place of his in-law (2nd Chronicles 18)
With these
said, it has been established that as much as the RIGHT partner could be a huge
blessing, the wrong partner is also a plague that can ruin even the greatest
destiny. Hence, it is important that we get the RIGHT partner or get no partner
at all.
Funnily, most
of us know what the RIGHT person looks like, but we never get them or even come
across them. Why is this so? It’s a simple answer, because you are not RIGHT
yourself. We all know the RIGHT partner is responsible, trustworthy, decent,
intellectually fit and has the fear of God, but have you ever tried to be a RIGHT
partner too?
You keep
drinking, smoking, fornicating, stealing and jumping from one bed to another,
yet you want the RIGHT partner. How is that supposed to happen? Sadly, you may trickily
get the RIGHT partner, but you can never keep the RIGHT partner. Its either you
hurt the RIGHT partner or drag the RIGHT partner into becoming the wrong
partner just like yourself.
Birds of a
feather flock together, when you become RIGHT, you’ll start having more RIGHT
people around you. You don’t find the RIGHT partner in night clubs, neither do
you find them in churches, you will only find them among the RIGHT people. And
you need to be RIGHT to be among the RIGHT people.
Friends like
it is always said, to get a Proverbs 31 lady, you must be an Ephesians 5 man,
and vice versa.
