Isn’t it rather funny how several people saw the Twitter face off between Wandecoal and Donjazzy as a chance to express and share their asinine opinions. It’s very funny how these set of ignorant Nigerians think they know it all but actually know nothing in the real sense. It is a case of the empty barrels rolling out and making noise on the social media.
I am not too surprised though; Social media
has presented us all with an opportunity to insult people we will dare not look
in the face in real life.
For several
people who think DonJazzy’s tweet was childish, when Kanye West tweeted a
supposed business tweet at Dbanj and Donjazzy, it didn’t seem childish right?
Or didn’t Kanye have their phone numbers and email addresses? When TerryTha
Rapman confronted Donjazzy on twitter as regards DonJazzy’s alleged anti-rap
comments and Donjazzy went ahead to apologise to him on twitter there. It
definitely didn’t appear childish too? What about when Eedris Abdul Kareem
criticised Donjazzy on a song and Donjazzy tweeted at Eedris to apologise? That
wasn’t childish too right? So what is the issue now?
The funniest
part was that Donjazzy didn’t tweet directly at Wandecoal, he just sub-tweeted
about people stealing from him and Wandecoal probably due to Insecurity arising
from maybe a guilty conscience had to throw respect out of the window and confront
Donjazzy on twitter. And that was the genesis of the face-off .
If we were all
actually sensible, shouldn’t we have asked Wandecoal how he ended up ‘stealing’
a song we heard clearly with DonJazzy’s voice rendering exactly the same lyrics. Or asked other intelligent questions such as
: ‘Was Wandecoal a co- writer of the song?’ Or ‘Was Wandecoal the sole writer of the song
in question’? Or did Wandecoal pay
Donjazzy before releasing the song? We all left these rather-clever questions
and decided to insult the two parties out of earlier-borne hatred.
The most painful
of all the reckless commentaries was the one by a certain Ms Udoka who claims
to be a lawyer. This actually made me lose some of the massive respect I had
for Lawyers, I used to think Lawyers were trained to be very intelligent people
but Ms Udoka’s commentary showed me otherwise. She expressed herself so crudely
and I was so sure of the kind of hate-filled and aggressive environment or
maybe family in which she was brought up.
Another one is
that of a so called DjBaddest….. Well his appellation already says a lot about
his level of intelligence and also the fact that while his colleagues were busy
releasing mixtapes and making legitimate money with their skills, our friend
here decided to show us the kind of dead stuffs that were stuffed up in his head.
I concluded he was
foolish the moment he mentioned that Shizzi produced ‘Go-low’. Like seriously,
what kind of deaf DJ have u turned yourself into. God created you to be better
but you chose to allow hatred and bitterness deafen you. Or didn’t you hear the
thing Shizzi released and called ‘Go-low’? Was the production even similar to
the official one Wandecoal released under Mohits Records? Apparently you don’t
know what it means to produce a song. What a shame!
And back to Shizzi
who wanted a taste of popularity from the controversy. Well, one time top
flight Nigerian producer Jay-Sleek tried it and please ask Jay-Sleek what
happened to his production career afterwards. Shizzi was not even part of the controversy;
he just wanted a share of the controversy. True, Controversy sells, but it
could also sell you off. Imagine how Shizzi brought a certain track where a Mohits
Records signee, Wandecoal was singing ‘shawty go low low low low…’ on a
soul-less beat. Of course Shizzi did not write the song and Wandecoal did
nothing wrong to have taken his ‘shawty go low low low low…’off your beat to a better
sounding Mohits Records beat. What credit exactly do you want Shizzi?
Or what exactly
is your point? Please choose your battles wisely Shizzi. You are a great and
blessed producer, just leave it at that please.
And to the fans who think this is an
opportunity to try out some insult combinations on the subjects, well I’ll just
advise you to pick your battles wisely. This world is a very small place. I repeat
this world is a very small place. Choose your battles wisely. You don’t know
who is watching you and who you might meet the next moment. God bless us all.
